    Once a popular town  ......accessable by river .........Rajang River .......... the longest in Sarawak ....d' main tourists gateway to d' Upper Rajang River .... with it's small riverine towns nn its many IBan nn Orang Ulu LONGhouses...............

Population dominated by Chinese ...as well as ...indigenous Melanau ...Malay nn IBan......

Rajang River ........ very domainant .........past way to access ....using water transportation ...... still called TOwn ..... even though ......... population alone about 257, 800 people........
