4WHEELDRIVE.... READY 4 XPDCion

Once I was a boy scout....  nn .. one of paticular 'motto' I never forget is " Be Prepared"...

Whatever..... U always do ..... in real LIFE ...  've to get ready ....well funny ..eeh..

this is life   ... when U're child... ready to be grown up... when U go to school ready for higher education...nn  graduated with flying colours...!!!....  eeh exam...first...lol...

well.... never ending...  except when U're OLD.. ve to get ready .....RIP....    ?????

So..end of YEAR is coming...  Brunei...be deserted.... people go abroad...  alot ..eeh...

People like ME d'same..  At RIZQUN Hotel... a well established... with The MALL... had a second Meeting to reconfirm... details of ... people coming..what to do etc...

I put myself with 4wheel Drive XPDCion... this time......schedule...  time ok...tentative....to time frame..nn journey..... should be 16 - 30 December... with injured times... ready added... (not only football..eh)  1st...2nd January 2011... still holiday....  kan...

MOST  are exprienced travellers... NOT only helping YOUTH travellers......also...had been to OTHER parts of d' WORLD...

..COZ.... this journey...going to south...of Kalimantan... Indonesia

Under d' umbrella...of FOUR WEEL DRIVE ASSOCIATION, BRUNEI DARUSSALAM.....

So... make official.. to allow Goverment employees with this trip .... were allowed to request UnRECORDED LEAVE...  good...eeh..

nnn...we PROMOTE....BRUNEI's name too..
soo..  ve..to put d' stickers on both sides of each car... 



One thing for SURE... money.. .. d' trip's charging cost for each vechicle... B$500.00....wowww.... would make used for many things..  like.. cars' insurance entering Indonesia... ferries charges.. tolls charges... helping hands charges.... mechanics....  nn  ...soo....   tau sendiri...lol...




Useful tyres 'choice...  is also important....

4 Types SUVs.... for BETTER tractions...

Top left....

STREET type... smooth....nnn  usually intended ready for Highway use...

Top right...

AT...ALLTERRAIN...  right choice for GOOD balance between drivability on the highway  nn fraction OFF ROAD... Good so used in DRY condition.....only..

Bottom left..... MT...first heard...thought EMPTY.... actually ....... MUD TERRAIN ... .wow..this..BEST overrall grip in SAND... DIRT.... ROCKS...nnn....in WEST countries especially NOW.... for SNOW .... a reasonable grip in most other situatuions... SSoo GOOD in MUD ...nnn   SNOW... except... those people...anti sound pollution....d'tread would NOISER..than d' finer treaded tyres...

Bottom right... SPECIAL...type...  ok...various special tyre treads  ...like this Super Swamper Bogger.... nn NOT cheap... up to B$300 each......wow..   Many Mud Drivers' challenger...make use Bogger designed for this HEAVY MUD....as proved USABLE in other situations....

MINE ..take d' third ONE... coz... price reasonable...  BUT...at least...paid B$150 foe each tyre....

 Ok..don't mind..     .BACK TO D' PAST.... just to SHARE d' story on pictures...  lol

Hopefully DECEMBER...... torny fruits session.......lol...   DURIANS....

Everywhere...on d'side roads... cheap too..... so...eat...nn   eat...as U could...

A small motor full of  DURIANS with special made basket carrier    ...  ..???



December month ... also....rainy season..... there 're time d' only road became MULTI purpose... instead road..also... as main big drainage.... coz.. no way rain water to go...except.... to bold...muddy... unplanted shallow deep road.......

Que...too... before passing.. deep muddy... so called... road...????

ONLY...  strong 4wheedrivels' vehicles were capable to pass through...

D' truck stucked right on road track... so 4wheel jeeps had to give hands to use d' winch to pull aside...successfully job's DONE....

...Thank U friend....

Casualties.....   Not ..to mention.... happened..  anywhere...!!!!. could  not avoided.....

Engines..... water radiators... tyres..... I got TWO times punchers....  suspensions... tyres' join-holders... spring.....so uncounted.... last my front  gear's box  broke.....just near on d' way Bintulu-Miri.. nnn had to tow by our gang....

It was night nn unable to reach d' border on time.... stranded overnight with d' help of all in ONE....friends.... Thank U..   late...lol..



The   XPDCion was considered a very LONG journey....which was supposed to go ROUND Borneo but instead changed for sudden political unstoppable circumstances......  soo.... went to SAMARINDA.....nn  Balikpapan.. that time around.... Had to cross TWO ferries... so altogether 4 returns....

Early morning PACKING before leaving... a memoriable.... nn un forgotten.... but last HOME safely.....

So.. d' COMING...XPDCion....hopefully.. go   nnn   home in one piece...  happy ever after... amin...
