AS.. Early.. 8.00 am

THREE cars.. were heading to SERASA Ferry Terminal...

With me..my wife, daughter...two nieces.. two nephews... lots of small individually bags of luggages ... belong to other cars too...at d' back of my car....

Haji Khairil's car.. brother, spouse nn three children .. niece.. Bayu .. in law... Hjh Nita nn son..n her domestic helper

Susi's ... sister , two other elder sisters, niece.....Ernie n daughter...

Altogether .... 21 people ...

NOT.. d' early groups of people..reaching to grasp early tickets to ferrying vehicles nn people to LABUAN...

BUT... tickets ..already booked .. worrying unknown situation as d' ferry was out of service few days... nn it was in dock for minor repairs as being informed...

CHECKING... for... Custom... Immigration ... later.. before entering d' ferry ...

Tickets for passengers... @ $12.00 a person excluding driver as d' car cost inclusive ...$43.. ??? each way

SHUTTLE HOPE... as called.. providing fast comfortable trip to Labuan...

Seemed nearly FULL House .. Good sign for operator... to have continuous ... regular scheduled trips....

Passengers' ferry.. just on d' other side.. a stone throw ..... for just @ $15.00 a person .... Ur choice.... also FASt..... ?????

Crossing ...BAY of BRUNEI.... looking at d' islands ... reachable... touchable..

BIG ship-containers .. were on water... if people aware enough to watch around d' open - water here .... nn another... ship-ferrying .. people.. vehicles..

Passengers felt d' comfort... proving HERE... just LOOK... !!!

Happier... for ...roaming.... photographing........ mingling .... talking jokingly ..... nn MOST importantly ...

....... ZZZZzzzzzzzz..... !!!!!

LASTly.... already LANDIng... in LABUAN ....

Passengers.... allowed to proceed ... some to vehicles...

Leaving past 9.00am .... arriving before... 10.45 am....

Straight... leaving ferry for custom nn immigration ... took fast few minutes..

Drove... to assign booked apartment ....

Here... d' information to any body like to know ... just READ... nn book...

This was my SECOND... stayed ..at BETA Apartment.. so familiar scenario ....... as expected...

Last... was with BIKES group.... nOT long time ago ... eeehh

Level 15..... room 1501..

High enough to take.. d' view inland of Labuan...

So... still early .... just 2.00 pm

Ready to visit... as scheduled ... so posing .. with new looked..

...typical Malay Baju Kurong.. modern costumes of coz for females...

...nn Baju Melayu for males... but NOT fully completed...really ..

...when to attend d' invitation ..

UNlike... as in Brunei.. NOT many shaded CAMps for guests... just right for d' small compound..... nn people invited...

People invited were special.... mOSt.. related.. in Labuan ... from Brunei.... Sabah... as far as Papar.. Beaufort...... TAWAU.....

Residence...near the busy road side..to town ... JALAN TUN MUSTAFA....

...Kampong BATU ARANG... just d' opposite of former EON...

Just in time... FRIDAY was working day here.....today ...d' last day before School Holidays' Term here ....

... BUT a special occasion like "NIKAH" ceremony.. usually being DONE.. Fridays ... selected nice... a good day of a week .. for ONCE in a life time of happiness ....

The arrival of bridegroom side with young charming beautiful ladies carried d' must necessary dowry ....of R$300.00 .... and as few as 5 trays... Gifts...

LOOK... My previous BLOG.. dated Saturday 29 January 2011.. title " WEDDING..DoWRY..gIFtS.. nn Nikah" .. was also WELL illustrated nn better described with "Bruneian Tradition" ...

The Bridegroom... WAN FARID BIN WAN AZIZI... a young man originated from Kelantan, Malaysia...

... Was allowed to have d' seat.. while waiting arrangement.. for "NIKAH" to go on...

Particular notes .. taken... by an imam officer, authorized Islamic Wedding Department...

The love story began... when d' bride studied oversea... but still in Malaysia... Kuala Lumpur... they met there..???

Bridegroom's .. parents were NOT here... represented by Uncle came along as far as Perak, Malaysia.. with two others ... nn his adopted family in Labuan...too ...

Bride... SUFARAWATI BINTE SOKIRMAN ...

....still young.. now helping mother as Dress Designer.. at their dress making shop ... in town .... very near to Labuan Market stalls ....

... Her serious face.. indicted thinking ...hearing on d' Imam.. publicly preaching d' importance of marriage...

Here, heR father... Sokirman ... authorized d' Imam to proceed NIKAH ceremony.. signing nn readiing d' form ...while watchful relatives all waiting with patience..... for this memorial moment ....

Witnesses ... grandpa... of bride.., nn uncle of bridegroom...

As in Islam... unlike... just saying... I DO.. d' IMAM.. would declared as husband nn wife.. once he said I marry Uu... nn d' reply answered straight away while hands moved .. hands' shakes... movements...

.. Once.. d' bridegroom agreed to pronounce to say I accept ... to marry... so... sooo.. Witnesses said "yes" ....

SO ... husband nn Wife...

BUT... NOT least... as easy as that... few procedures... under d' Islamic law.. pre.. courses.. attended.. to know responsibilities.. as husband...as well as wife... ???
Many..... lol... !!!

To attend a Wedding... as guests... usually.. give DONATIONs .. sort of special gifts.. helping ... to NEWly Marriage.. couple ....or might be to parents...

Nowadays... CASH .... $..notes..

NOT forgetting... pictures... I was here... with host.. Sokirman !!!

Guests were invited to serve refreshment.. ....

Special "mee curry" .. or either... choice of rice with ... meat, chicken curry ...

Just GET together pictures... after d' NIKAH ceremony... with parents...nn eldest ... all related to d' couple ...
