20 December 2010...... DAY...5

NOTICEable...once entered.....probably encountered...this  tall ... mega designed GATE of Central Kalimantan , Indonesia.... this tall stoned structure...    welcomed  ...people using this land entrance.... As told this is d' ONLY gate-way to enter.. KALimANTAN TEngAH...   ???????



Once entered...  d' border   welcomed .....with beautiful .... panoramic... view's..... background......  

...................But ....... what really happened..???...

.................. soon left..... Tanjong ASAM.... d' CALfornia Hotel......place.......

here......  ..... TIME  back to....normal.... clock...same as ours..... after minus an hour.....





DAwn......   woke UP.....  somebody KNocKING.......d' car....

 NOT easy slept.. lol.....5 of us..here..... coudn't sleep comfortable... coz...had to bent my legs... ...had to do sitting position......d' aircon .....cold.....all d' way... switch ON................

...heard snorings... who  ???  ... waw... in this condition...

Stll 5.45 am...... so ready to MOVE...... soon... everybody..refreshed.... washed faces..... lucky......still happy to....have....a....WC .... here as...

This place......we stopped  at.. d' workers' quarters...... but nobody was here...this early morning.......

Without... any breakfast.......all cars... moving.... my car was running 24 hours.... fearing troubles once off.... !!!! 

Moving...slowly.....   hours passed...nn  road condition....not too bad but passable easily...after all gurelling muddy road..... yesterday.... felt this was NotHING.... compared....

 Had to cross few broken wooden bridges.... then..go....going... UP hill... had to use lower gear to make moving stronger... grapping the muddy uphill....

Then...surprising.....d' stoned structure emerged from nowhere...in d' middle of thick surrounded FOREST......... again SuRPRIse us...once entered d' mid-way GATE..... here U're... like in...modern world emerged.....brand new road ...still.... looked fresh...brandly dark tar road....
a HUT...on d'right.... built....just near by.... offering hungry people....things for sale... including SOLAR.......

 

Nice place...for rememberance...          pillars...liked stretching  uP....

D' caretaker at d' hut...took adventage....a stall selling fuel ... including diesel...solar.... not much... tinned drinks..nnn simple dry foods.... d' border was d' ONLY enterance... so...each day .... quite many people passed through here...

The road maintenance...had been DOne.... for d' contract given dated 7 July 2009... No wonder...NOT long time ago  ....nnn d' MONEY came from...."DANA"..... probably availability budget collected from d' public taxes' payments to d' government.... wow.... 





So leaving d' border... GOING down hills...,, this was KUDANGAN Road........NICE view of mountainous....background....

Took...few minutes.... then... reached...to d' populated area.... 



KUNDANGAN.......  still...morning...8.10 am...

NOTICED..... d' picture.....my car just parked infront...... hut liked.... normal house.... d' newly steps were built according to d' people's custom here.... a young child....... passed away.....  NOT know WHY ????

D' opposite shop house...belong to Pa'  POLISI........ADIKIN SUni.appointed POLCE....'s boss here....a small village station........nn his wife... SUFInah NINGshih.....  managed to.... to have chance....  chatting... with him... telling....a month ago..... he nn her wife...just returned home from HAJJ...to MECCA....    he had enrolled for HAJJ...FOUR YEARS.... before...were able to be chosen...than...allowed to perform HAJJ ......   He looked so PROUD of being HAJJ.... of coz........................why NOT... ????....   not cheap..   millions Rp.........loll....

So... times... eating...drinking.....took....breakfast...wiith d' help of friendly...HOST

Had to PAY...lol....instant MEE......with fried eggs..... wow....   good...

Bathing.....so cool....here...... WC .....available.....  eeehh..!!!!



Proceeding.......for Banjarmasin......NOT all roads as beautiful..as  first arrived... Kalimantan Tengah...

Still needed maintenance.......bushy   nnn  tall trees along d' road.....




Mixtures ....for roads maintenance...here...as...could be seen...  good  nnn bad....

My car still following behind FORD RANGERS...........



ROUND about....sign of entering...town area... Nanga BULIK... a small populated area..... a much cared town... just see the road divider....coloured black nn white.... as tall as seemed to be  a meter.... tall.... waw...  why  ???...   eeehh..

Turned...left... till reached....

WHY...???    lots of BIG vehicles....trucks...lorries... vans.... along...     side road  ..

JUST waiting...to refill...fuel.... SOLAR... great demand HERE......... as cheap as Rp 4500...or 5000

On right... opposite road.....A nice shop building... with local designed... upper floor for living residence... d' ground floor made used for shops...

Doing business well here.... but less populated... except people....travelling...nn  for  short stops.........

Came to stop... for LUNCH.      special...... MENU   here...   providing......   UDANG GALAH......  big prawns.........only found ..up rivers........fresh water....  sorry..... NOT known d' biological term for this shrimp.....  same as in BRUNEI...... found mostly in TEMBURONG



Anybody.... OPEN donation....   mostly for...mosques..... dropped here....  thousands...Rp..    ???
Eating House .........  also providing..LOdgINGs... just on d' side same...ground  nn  upper floor...of d' building...

If happened.... late night...nn No way to go... just drop by here....

BUT.... terms given..... as written... on d' DOOR....   as translated.........SORRY  .... Unmarried couples NOT Allowed.... !!!!!



TOO MANY vehicles......Q ..for SOLAR.... so needed less time.... had to find SOLAR on d' road side... drums... or containers... local....would prefer buying from d' filling station even though hours to refill.... NOT to lost.....a small difference...bUT  big profits.... loll...for middle men.......................

COST....  Rp 5800 @ liter........Rp210,000 for 30 liters..... good enough......

Soo...time saved....... journey...proceeding...... to Banjarmasin....
