PONTIANAk STREETs are busy as any big cities  ....  firstly with people...  multi kinds of people ....  vehicles d' most.. but NOT with cars... motorbikes....  !!! 

LOW cost road watcher ..could be hired somebody.. watching NIghts .. nn  Days....  obviously ..NObody.. could stand that LONG...  but in PONTIANAK...  

Proven.....   as soon... Uu enter d' main junctions to d' city..  a POLICEMAN... keeps ON watching...  

POLICE statue as a symbol of discipline...    caring people..   nn  NOT under d' force of military..    as simple as that  ....

Main Bridge.. KAPUAS...   long had been important  for two separate main lands... 

...without  Kapuas Bridge..people would LOST contact which probably involving  people's business .... on d' other main land  business in Industries.. ships-making as DOCKs for ships are here..  export-imports to Jakarta and to other main cities in Indonesia...  ferries are operating here to other main destinations in Indonesia.. especially to Jakarta...  Semarang...

ONCE on d' road... especially in d' morning... office hours begin.. loaded streets could be seen... especially people using motorbikes to to offices.....young people.. students of d' universities...  nn..  one popular higher institution is here.. TANJUNG PURA University... in  Pontianak City..

The roads here are NOT as broad.. as Uu could see.. even in d' city ... two lanes...

KB ...  acronym.. popularly known  ... in Brunei... Uu simply said Kuala Belait...a capital town of Belait District...   as in West Malaysia.. Uu.. could find many places but NOT compared popularly in Kota Baharu d' capital of Kelantan ..

... BUT... Pontianak... here.. the capital city for KALIMANTAN BARAT....  or WEST KALIMANTAN..  d' opposite  way......

... so KB ... on d' main road named   .. AHMAD YANI.. ..  on left - right of d' road ... Uu could find higher institutions.. government offices.. especially to Governor's office ...  museum...   mosque... police station ... so nn so... 

..... going further.. an access to AIRPORT.. of Pontianak... 

NOT all small motorbikes.. look at d' CAR...!!  This is in d' city shop's  block.. ..Showing..business is GOOD.. so ...  ..AMERICAN...CAR...

In Brunei..would cost about 130k...   

Still in main road..   somewhere... near to RAMAYANA shopping Mall....   Another street to main places.. to PORT..  to few HOTELs ..... to ships' DOCK...  ..ferry terminal station..  export-import agencies offices...  government offices.....so...so.. first Tanjung Pura road meets Rahadi Usman Road...

BUT...streets are d' places where Uu earn hard living......  just see how hawkers.. with moving stalls..  NOT mentioning moving CARRIER  bikes .. With  nn ...NO engines... lol  ...
..... of coz...    This is truly..  "Jalan-jalan CARi MAkan"

BACK ROADs....  around SUDIRMAn... area.....popular shopping area..  for textiles... telecommunications..   STALLs with all kinds of products...

Motorbikes are NOT for SALE...  they are... using d' frontage area of shops for parking...  arranged motorbikes are watched by parking attendants  or.. care takers... paying Rp1,000...  nn..   Rp2,000.. for cars

So many.. motorbikes..  here..   this is back way road...as seen d' street....   NOT so tidy... WET ground...  ???

But..  people keep on coming...    shopping..  ???

END of YEAR... could be good business times...

GOLD-smith.. also around here..   just notice   ....the... word DIAMOND...

Selling proper goods...  but each shops had their trade-mark... selling ONLY... like, stationeries..books.. papers.. schools things..  motorbikes' helmets..  here 'HELM' ... Indonesian textiles.. clothes.. here too..
...  Bought TWO helm...   for B$50= ..ONly..  woww..   'lumayan'..!!!
....   mine bought...  special top category .... ISO...  lol...

Here.. INNOVA... car..  simply product of Kijang replacement .. popularly used for taxi...  roomy too ..  my family...

While in car... saw nn captured a police on  bike...  so here.. later .. recognized d' machine is d' same as my Yamaha Motorbike at home...

Old Car model.. like.. Toyota LANDCRUISER...40 series model..  still popular..  easy modification..  got replacement for old parts... nn

See.. d' large poster.. special greetings from d' politicians..   that was for XMas 25 December nn New Year 2011 ....

Last not least.. before going back to Hotel ... passing through ..a watchful policeman ...described earlier... but this time.. on right side ..right turn..  as we were going back to Hotel..Kapuas..

Before..another left turn...   look at a row of shops...    a BENGKEL... or workshop on left side..  one of our friend's car .. Nissan Patrol... still waiting for d' part.. lining gear..  to arrive.. probably  today.. late 28 December  ... from Brunei...      ... fast enough.. eehh  !!!
